At my baby shower I got so many diapers that at the time I figured I was set for life and would never have to buy any myself. People were even so thoughtful as to buy all different sizes, so it seemed to me like I was getting off cheap when it came to diaper duty.

Search Market ShareLittle did I know, I was in for a rude and expensive awakening. The diapers came and went, yes all of them, but I had gained some knowledge in the process of working through my freebies.  It gave me the chance to experiment with different types of diapers and learn first hand how they were different.

I tried Luvs , but they always seemed to feel moist even on the outside. I could feel the moisture through my daughter's clothing and they were very thin.

I did use the pampers swaddlers and I liked them a lot, but they stop making them at size 2 I think, so then I was forced t move on.

I tried strange store brand diapers that bunched, and leaked, and weren't shaped like they were made for humans and after all of my let-downs in that department I realized I had to buy name brand.

My experience led me back to pampers, but I went with the pampers baby dry first.  I liked the way they fit, and they were very absorbent, but for some reason my daughter would get a bad diaper rash after a day of using them.

Then I tried Pampers Cruisers.  It was a perfect fit.  There were no leaks, no rashes, they were shaped like a human, no soggy bottoms, no bunching and twisting. The only problem is that they are not cheap! They are actually quite pricey.

If you go into any supermarket to get diapers, they usually carry the smaller packs and the diapers end up being so expensive that way.  I found that if I buy them on amazon.com I can get them a lot cheaper and in larger quantities.  There is no shipping at amazon for orders over $25 so it's so much more than worth it!

As a mom of a two year old, I know how precious your baby's nap time can be. Whether you are a new mom in desperate need of sleep, or the parent of a toddler whose house looks like a bomb hit it, that time is precious and well deserved.

I can remember the first months when my daughter was napping, I had intentions of getting things done. I would patiently await her nap time with grand plans of doing the dishes, vacuuming, napping, or even showering, but the protective mom in me would kick in and I felt nervous being far away from my daughter for too long. I spent so much time trying to decipher […]

How to choose the best Breastpump

If you are planning to breastfeed your baby, you will most likely need to buy a breast pump. While there are many different kinds out there ranging from the single manual pumps, to the small electric ones, I have found that the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with Backpack is the way to go.

I can honestly say that out of all of the breastpumps I had tried, this was the only one that felt so close to nursing my own baby, which helped a great deal. At first I was using a simple manual pump, and it was so frustrating because I couldn't seem to keep my milk flowing. After that I switched to a small electric single pump, and it was a little bit better, but it seemed to only get my milk flow going for a very short time.  The unnatural feel of  them seemed to make it very difficult for me psychologically.[…]
