I have realized that no matter which sippy cups I look at, they all claim to be spill-proof and there is only one that actually is. Gerber Fun Grips Color Change Spill-Proof Cups
are the best ones out there. They have a removable plug that can be cleaned easily or replaced if ever needed. My child can throw hers, bang it on the table, drop it in the car, or even fall asleep with it and it never leaks. The top twists on securely too, so it's not as easy as some for a child to open.
I like that they change color with temperature so I know if my child's drink has been sitting out a little bit too long. It is helpful on hectic days when I am trying to get a million things done. They can be taken apart and washed easily, with the plug coming completely out for thorough cleaning and drying. With these you won't look to find a nasty ring of who knows what under the lid.
I tried so many, and they all ended up in the garbage. I shudder to think of all the money I would've saved myself if I had just gone with the Gerber cups first. They are so reasonably priced, especially compared to some of the ridiculous amounts I paid before I found Gerber. Common sense seems to go out the window when you are desperate for a solution, and at one point I paid over $20 for one cup!
I have about ten of the fun grips cups and my daughter likes to pick which color cup and which color lid to use together. It gives her a small sense of independence which makes her feel in control of the situation. I find that offering her choices makes for less tantrums.
Please do yourself a favor and spend a quarter less money on a product that is a hundred times better than any I have tried. The

have been a life changing experience for me. Now I don't have to worry about juice stains, smelly mysterious milk spills, or water getting poured into my electronics.

As a mom of a two year old, I know how precious your baby's nap time can be. Whether you are a new mom in desperate need of sleep, or the parent of a toddler whose house looks like a bomb hit it, that time is precious and well deserved.
I can remember the first months when my daughter was napping, I had intentions of getting things done. I would patiently await her nap time with grand plans of doing the dishes, vacuuming, napping, or even showering, but the protective mom in me would kick in and I felt nervous being far away from my daughter for too long. I spent so much time trying to decipher

If you are planning to breastfeed your baby, you will most likely need to buy a breast pump. While there are many different kinds out there ranging from the single manual pumps, to the small electric ones, I have found that the Medela Pump in Style Advanced Breast Pump with Backpack
is the way to go.
I can honestly say that out of all of the breastpumps I had tried, this was the only one that felt so close to nursing my own baby, which helped a great deal. At first I was using a simple manual pump, and it was so frustrating because I couldn't seem to keep my milk flowing. After that I switched to a small electric single pump, and it was a little bit better, but it seemed to only get my milk flow going for a very short time. The unnatural feel of them seemed to make it very difficult for me psychologically.[…]
